It’s all about doing our part to save the Earth this weekend. Join in Earth Hour 2015 and switch off your lights for 60 minutes! It’s too easy.
Started in 2007 as a lights-off event to raise awareness about climate change, this worldwide event is a great way to teach kids about protecting our planet.
If you want to get together with others to celebrate our big ball, there’s a few things happening around town to celebrate Mother Earth:
Singapore’s first ever Earth Hour Night Cycling trip from Choa Chu Kang to Woodlands Road is happening to raise awareness on climate change. Make a stop at Punggol’s Lonely Tree for Earth Hour celebrations.
The Earth Hour Star Party on 28 March 2015 is a great way to experience the wonders of the night sky while learning a thing or two about climate change and environmental issues. If you’re lucky and get a nice clear sky, stretch out on your backs and do some good old-fashioned star gazing.
In fact there’s nothing like the great outdoors to make you feel at one with nature. So grab some mats, snacks, cushions and candles and head out into the backyard for a night time adventure sans electricity.
Happy Earth Hour!
